Today, Blogger updated the Followers Gadget that a person can put on their layout page. I like the look of the updated gadget, it makes it easier to see all the people that follow a particular Blog. It lists more people per page, and when you view a particular person, it has all the stats about the person and the Blogs he/she posts and follows.
I still haven't given much thought which blogs I will follow, but I'm sure that will be much easier in the near future. What I've been doing is looking at some of the Blogs of Note to see what people are up to with their Blogs.
